Google Gemma Ai

a WORLD where JACQUES COUSTEAU collides with MONTY PYTHON

A WHIMSICAL DIVE INTO THE FUTURE, hyperrealism meets quirky computation, grounded in absurdity.

To promote the launch of a ground-breaking new Gemma Ai model that BREAKS THE INTERSPECIES LANGUAGE BARRIER between humans and dolphins, trained off of dolphin vocalizations from the research of marine biologist Denise Herzing and computer scientist Thad Sterner, we created a hyperrealistic absurdist, quirky brand film to make a big splash (pun intended). Our film is so unbelievable, the viewer might think it’s an April Fools Joke! Yet it’s no April Fools, the reveal in the end is, the technology is real and will open up a new world for interspecies communication….does that mean alien communication is next?

Dolphin Gemma film's world is built with a hybrid aesthetic of handcrafted, stylized sets blended with digital environments with a playful tone that heightens its unexpected, absurd whimsy.  By crafting a bespoke world of both practical and imaginative elements, my vision created a world that is as visually-compelling as it is technologically and scientifically ambitious.

The film leans into colorful symmetry and offbeat whimsy while maintaining a distinct voice unique to Google. The tone is self-aware, playful, and subtly intellectual. It treats the concept of AI-powered dolphin communication with both reverence and humor. Embracing a cinematic short film structure rather than a conventional ad format, the script balances tech credibility with the charm of discovery.

To make the AI feel tangible, alive, and have a personality we struck a balance of retro-futuristic charm that meets advanced computing. We’re creating the unexpected in the most playfully absurdist way, redefining how one could visualize AI research. The research ship is part command center, part experimental playground, where the researchers actively analyze datasets, test the AI models, and push the limits of interspecies communication.
